  Nordpraktik in Denmark

Arrival and introduction:

Normally you as a trainee will be met in the airport by staff from the Nordpraktik office in Copenhagen.

The first days (4-5) we offer an introduction course focusing on danish society in general and also on bussines related matters. By attending this introduction the trainees are well prepared for their training-period in the danish company. Durin the introduction days the trainees will be staying in a hotel.

After the introduction-days the trainees will go to their hosts. Most of our trainees will stay with private families where they will have their own room but also an opprtunity to see how the daily life of a danish familty is. The trainees are usually
very happy about this uniqe oppertunity of learning more about Denmark and the danes. Many of our former participants are still in contact with their host families.

The host family will take care of providing you with the daily meal, however sometimes you are invited to cook and also you make your own lunchbag unless
the trainigcompany is providing the food to you.

To cover other expenses you will receive a small daily amount as "pocketmoney".

Training:

A great number of companies have offered trainng to Nordpraktik participants since the project started in 1992. The companies represent a wide range of fields such as
indusries (furniture, medicine, textile, shipyards, food, and more), service, banks, IT, tourism and the expanding sector of energy and environment.

Normally the traing has a duration of 4-12 weeks (most of our trainees stay 5-8 weeks). The length is decided from the wishes of the trainee and the possibilities offered by the hosting company.

After the training the companies and the trainees are required to make an evaluation of the stay to help Nordpraktik develop the programme in accordance with the needs and wishes from our trainees and participatin host companies.

After the Nordpraktik training the trainees are urged to form and participate in Nordpraktik-networks in their home countries.
